DIPLOCAT organizes its first activity in Scotland on 26 November together with the Centre on Constitutional Change
The Public Diplomacy Council of Catalonia (DIPLOCAT) has programmed its first academic discussion regarding Catalonia in Scotland. On 26 November, will take place the debate “Independence Movements in Europe. Threat or Opportunity for the EU?”, in the 26 November at Centre on Constitutional Change in Edinburgh.
The independence referendum in Scotland and the results of the 27S Catalan elections have reinforced the debate about the status within the EU of regions which become independent from an EU member State. Over the last few years, experts and academics have contributed to a wide debate and published extensive on this question.
With the aim of presenting this debate to the public, the Centre on Constitutional Change and the Public Diplomacy Council of Catalonia are organising a conference featuring some of the main specialists in this field to focus on the Catalan case in the broader European context. ...
