"Will you come speak about the comptroller's report?" I was asked several times this week. But those doing the asking were not interested in a discussion on any of the many topics discussed in the report. None but one tiny detail: Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's travels around the world as finance minister, mostly for the purpose of public diplomacy or fundraising.
"What is there to talk about?" I replied. The arguments on both sides have been predetermined. So has the public's response. Boring.
For 20 years, Netanyahu's enemies have been searching unrelentingly for dirt on him, but haven't been able to find a single Moshe Talansky (a key witness in the corruption case against former Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, who is currently serving time in jail). ...
